Although I had already written most of essays and was confident that they were good, I decided to sign up for a single essay review service so as to double check the quality of my work. I signed up for myEssayReview because it was highly rated at GMAT Club, and because it offered very competitive pricing for a one essay review. After completing the review process with Poonam for this essay, I realized that she helped me to elevate the quality of my essay to an entirely new level! As a result, I decided to sign up to essay review to six schools I applied as well as résumé review. Here is my feedback on my experience of working with Poonam:

Understands you as a person: Poonam was interested in understanding my whole story as an applicant and as a person, though I had initially just signed up for a one essay review. In addition, I could also understand her background and method of working, which helped us to work productively while not losing sight of my goals and characteristics. She provided me valuable advice on my school selection, application strategy, time management, and even résumé improvements, all of which were not part of the scope of my original service hired.

Delivers a Clear Sentence Structure: Poonam demonstrated that my first drafts had stories with unnatural flow, frequently lacking a clear link between the story and the point I was trying to make. Once we identified the point, then we discussed on how each part of the example was supporting the point. This method was vital not only to stay focused on my key messages but also to trim side arguments and reach the tight word limits. Poonam used an effective and elegant word choice - not overly sophisticated vocabulary. As a non-native speaker, I found it so helpful because I wouldn´t be comfortable with words that I would never write on my essays.

Effective Edits: Effective editing/trimming of essays is one of Poonam’s main strengths. I frequently sent her very large essays thinking, there is no way to achieve the allowed word-limit – but she consistently delivered on the word limit! In addition, I found helpful that she offered my choices on what contents to sacrifice or details to omit, so that I was able to consciously evaluate the trade offs and make choices that maintained the essence of my examples.

Results speak for themselves! In the end, I was interviewed to all of the six schools I applied, admitted to four of them (Kellogg, Berkeley-Haas, Yale SOM and UCLA Anderson) and waitlisted at Stanford GSB. Plus, three of them offered me substantial scholarships! Kellogg-70K scholarship (Donald Jacobs scholarship), Yale SOM - 20k scholarship , UCLA Anderson -70k scholarship. Now I’m heading to Kellogg with scholarship! I had never imagined I would be so successful. Without doubt, Poonam has contributed substantially!

Beyond being admitted to my dream school with scholarship, I gained a lot from working with Poonam. I improved my writing and critical thinking abilities, and also had a great time working with Poonam. Thank you Poonam for your guidance.

I had an unsuccessful application last year and was looking to work with someone with experience in helping students achieve their dreams. I read excellent reviews on GMAT club and on the website itself. So I requested for free consultation meeting. The meeting was great. But most importantly, Poonam reviewed my resume and told me that it was way below par. This really put me on my toes and confirmed my decision to sign up for her services.

We started working immediately and from the beginning, Poonam’s guidelines helped me introspect. I definitely had to put more effort in thinking creatively to come up with a story-like approach for my essay. I bookmarked her essay analysis on GMAT club and read it over and over again until I could come up with a creative answer for the question asked. For every part of the question asked, having an idea of how many words should be used and the examples helped me construct my essay which was polished and refined with the help of her guidelines. She gave me the sort of strict feedback I required in my first essay, and I think because of that the other essays went smooth

After putting together all the details of the story, the most daunting task was trimming it to the allowed word limit, and I was totally stunned to see that no detail was lost even when she trimmed essays from 750 odd words to 600 words. Absolutely amazing!! Needless to say that she took care of all grammatical aspects really well. Word choice to emphasize certain aspects was also fantastic that helped pruning words.

Lastly, I was extremely happy with her turnarounds as we finished our work quickly. Our last 3 essays finished in an average of 3-4 days.

I had a great time working with Poonam. She takes a lot of interest in your application, and it reflects in the work that is produced. Even after wrapping up the application, I kept in touch with her whenever I had any questions/concerns, and she promptly responded back.
I have received 3 admit offers ( Smith, Carlson, and Boston )with generous scholarships. As a re-applicant, I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks a lot for your help, Poonam. I've waited so long for this moment (3 GMAT attempts and 2 application seasons) and was over the moon when I saw the Smith mail(my first admit). Your guidance was key and it helped me better my application 100x when compared to last year.

Yay!! I made it to Chicago Booth weekend program for spring 2016. I can't exactly describe how happy I am today. My interview was last weekend on 8 Jan at gleacher center and got the result this afternoon .Thank you so much for your expert guidance ...I stumbled across your service/ profile on GMAT club forum, and I am so glad I did!!.

Working with you was an extremely enriching experience for me. You helped me immensely with my essays and recommendation letters from start to finish. Not only this, in times of dilemma on choosing stories, you guided me in the right direction. You are very professional and thorough to work with. I was seriously impressed by your personalized attention to all my essays and LORs, unlike other cookie cutter consultants. I know I have tried your patience initially with me delaying my apps start date. But, nevertheless, you helped me sail through this whole process well before time.

I followed your advice verbatim for the interview. And it was spot on... I have gotten invite from Kelley too, and I am pretty confident I will get from Kellogg too if I submit, but it would be too foolish to throw Booth convert away. First interview and first convert of season ... Could not have started 2016 on a better note. My new year is really Happy!!! Thank you for being the Krishna of this Arjuna. Words can't thank you enough!! I would recommend you to anyone I know in a heartbeat.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!

I felt pretty confident in my overall ability as an MBA applicant, so I was not necessarily looking for a complete MBA consultant package. Instead, I searched mainly for a consultant that would help me ‘tell my story’ through my essays. Telling a story can be difficult, and it becomes incredibly more challenging when you only have 300 words to do so. After researching many other MBA consulting groups and their “a la carte” services, I decided to sign up for the free evaluation session with myEssayReview. Based on the research I had done, the evaluation session, and the reviews on GMAT Club, I knew that myEssayReview would be the resource I would need to succinctly tell my stories in as much detail as possible.

The 1-hour initial meeting that we had after Poonam did the first review of my resume and essays was VERY helpful. The questions that were asked about each essay helped me come up with a plan on how to tackle the first rewrite of each piece. When it would come time to work on the next essay, I would simply pull out the notes I had taken from our initial review and use them as guidelines to rebuild the essay. The initial review gave me the toolset and understanding I needed so that I never felt unprepared when I was doing my personal edits.

From Poonam’s feedback, I could understand how a reader (knowing nothing of the story I was trying to tell) would interpret the details and what questions they would ask. Those questions helped me eliminate unnecessary explanations while bolstering the areas in my story that not only drew the most attention, but also helped most to support the final conclusion. The guidelines she provided for the structure of my essays were very logical and, once followed, made my stories flow so much more clearly. I felt that my initial essays told a story adequately, but were difficult to follow and left readers asking a lot of questions. By reading through each detail carefully and showing me how it all pieced together, she was able to design a framework for each story that flowed naturally and was simply easier to read and understand.

Moreover, Poonam’s ability to trim my word count was very effective. In fact, I was very impressed at times when I would receive an edited draft back from her and see she had cut large groupings of words with no negative impact to the story! It’s amazing to me to see how many unnecessary words I would write simply because I thought that they were required, when in fact the entire idea could be replaced with 3-4 words and retain the overall impact of the detail.

I was very happy with Poonam’s stylistic design and word choice. I felt that the improvements she suggested made the story flow much more clearly, while showing the necessary writing finesse. Once completed, my essays demonstrated a solid mastery of intellectual writing that is necessary at the MBA education level. Also, turn-around was fantastic! I could always count on her timeliness, and I never felt rushed or worried that we wouldn’t have time to complete all of my essays. In fact, Poonam even notified me of her personal vacation scheduled close to Emory’s deadline and worked diligently to help me finish my application two weeks early! To the highest degree, she always gave me excellent feedback and helped me submit the absolute best work I could have submitted, which is exactly what I was looking for in our partnership.

Poonam was a pleasure to work with, and I loved discussing my stories with her! I didn’t feel like she was simply there to help me do my work and then move on. Rather, she took an interest in my stories and asked genuine questions about me and my life, which, in turn, helped me write even better and in more detail. I would GLADLY recommend Poonam to friends and colleagues, as well as anyone who is looking for the perfect resource to help them get the most out of their MBA essays. In fact, I’ve already passed on her contact information to someone I met at a networking event.

Poonam helped me turn my ideas into wonderful short stories that obviously appealed to the Ad Com immensely. I am admitted to Emory for both the 1-year and 2-year programs with generous merit-based scholarship: $45,000 if I choose the 1-year program and $60,000 if I choose the 2-year program. My main choice is the 1-year program as my background and post-MBA goals fit well into that program's rigor and accelerated curriculum, and I believe getting back into the workforce quicker is most ideal.

Poonam was an incredible resource, and I am so thankful for her personal hard work and dedication to my MBA dreams.

I signed up for myEssayReview for the 3 reasons. First, it provided one on one service. Throughout the whole process you work with only one person who has a vast experience. Secondly, I read great reviews on the GMAT Club. And last, it has logical pricing.

The free consultation meeting I had with Poonam was very informative and helped me collect my thoughts and ideas and put a plan for the whole application process. After we started working, Poonam’s guidelines and suggestions helped me choose the right stories and highlight my strong points. She always put me back on track whenever I lost focus of the explicit and implicit goals of each required essay. When I had no idea how to address an essay question, she sent me sample essays and also prepared an outline of how each essay should be structured. She even gave me a structured outline with word count for each section which was extremely helpful in shortening the time needed to figure out how the essay should look like.

Before writing the essays, I had no idea what to write and reaching the word count needed seemed impossible. After receiving Poonam’s guidelines and suggestions, it was so easy to pass the word limit and this is where Poonam works her magic in trimming the essay to the needed word count without deleting any important detail. I never had to wait for her feedback. Most of the time, she would answer back within 24 hours. In the worst case scenario, she took 48 hours.

I am very satisfied with Poonam’s “support” as I may call it. Working with her was more of a support than a business transaction. She helps you deal with all the stress that accompanies the application process in a very organized and professional manner. Most importantly, she helps you get admitted to the program of your choice!

I had gone through some of the sample essays on MER website which appealed to me, and hence I decided to seek her help. I shared my first drafts of essays with her; she reviewed them and scheduled a meeting for discussion. That one hour session was excellent, and I gained useful tips from the interaction. Throughout the process, her guidelines and suggestions were very appropriate and relevant that helped me reedit the essays in a more presentable way. The modifications made by her corrected my errors in the framing of the sentences and other minor grammatical errors. Reducing the essays to the allowed word limit was an area where her help was incredible since you she was able to contain the essay within the limit without changing or omitting the contents of my essay. The turn-around time was excellent and helped me keep up the time frame for submitting my applications since I did not have enough time before the deadline.
I received an admit offer from EDHEC for their MBA program. Thank you, Poonam for all the help rendered by you.

I was looking for a personalized (1-1) essay review help. While doing my research, I talked to a few other big brand Essay editing companies, but realized that their process is too mechanical rather than personal. Next, I came across some great reviews about Poonam’s essay services on GMAT Club and few other online forums and talked to her previous clients. I also found the pricing of myessayreview to be reasonable. The one hour session we had was very useful. We formulated the strategy on how to proceed with the applications, talked about which schools to apply and how the essay review process will work.

While writing an essay, I got so engrossed in making the essay impactful that sometimes I forgot what the question is actually asking and what the admission committee is looking for. This is when Poonam’s comments / edits on the essay start making sense as she steered me in the right direction. It’s also nice to have someone read your stories in an unbiased way ( the way admissions committee will probably review it)

The basic framework of an essay / letter is very critical because it makes sure that you cover all the aspects of the question. Poonam helped me define this structure for each question, and this helped me in making my story more impactful and complete. After getting all the essential components of the story, she helped me trim my essays to the allowed word limit. Her edits were just perfect in all areas sentence structure, word choice, punctuation, and grammar. The turnarounds were exactly time as stated on the website (24-48 hours). She was always there to address all my concerns and queries.

I had a great experience working with Poonam. It would have been very difficult to complete those effectively essays on time without her help. Her guidance on my application ( essays, résumé, LOR’s) got me an admit offer from Duke + Scholarship with a below 650 GMAT score. I couldn’t have asked for more.

I signed up for myEssayReview services for my INSEAD application last year after reading good feedback from her students at gmatclub.com the GMAT Club. Also, I found her fee reasonable. The initial one hour session by Poonam was very productive and it helped me organize my thoughts. Poonam helped me to choose right stories to tell as this choice sometimes played really curtail role in showing my candidacy in the best manner. In several essays I used recommendation made by Poonam. The structure of my essays was my weak spot, and I am really glad that Poonam took care of it. She helped me to rearrange different pieces of my essays making them more readable. Several important times Poonam helped me to choose right words making my essays look better. Punctuation and grammar were perfect after we ended our editing process. Timing was perfect and sometimes edits were made so quickly that I wasn’t ready to digest so quick turnaround. Throughout the process she satisfactorily addresses all of your queries/concerns.

Last year I was admitted to the INSEAD MBA programme, but unfortunately I had to withdraw my application because of personal circumstances. This year I took a decision to reapply for the INSEAD MBA programme as I continue to look forward becoming a part of INSEAD MBA programme. Now I need to write reapplication essay, and I want to continue to work with her.

I choose myEssayReview services because of reasonable price, great reviews and good reputation. Actually, I had researched a lot before making my decision of enrolling for 1 school package of myEssayReview. I am glad that I made a good decision as I have received admit from my dream school - Leeds.

Thanks to Poonam’s suggestion and guidelines, I could understand the questions of essay clearly which helped me choose the rights content and stories that focused on making my story stronger. Poonam is excellent in arranging the structure for essays. After she organized my essays, I could
see how bad my essay structure was. Her edits and suggestions greatly helped in making my stories more logical and effective. Even though I understand the importance word-limit, I have problems with limiting my words in essays. She helped me trim down my essays in the very reasonable way making them smooth and logical.

I’m not good at writing and this made it hard for me to work on my essays. She re-worded my sentences, changed my words to make sentences more beautiful, and corrected my grammar. I was very happy with the final product.

There were delays on my part in sending her essay drafts .The deadline was only four days away and we still had to work on 2 essays. She understood my problem and sent me her edits/ feedback me in 3-4 hours only. Thanks for her hard work, professionalism and quick feedback, we finished essays in only 3 days which I had not expected. I submitted my application a day before the school’s deadline which was awesome.

During the process, l emailed her or sent her skype message about my concerns/ questions. I always received her feedback quickly addressing all my concerns.

I like the way Ms Poonam works and her professionalism. She follows her schedule, but she was also flexible in changing her schedule following my request because of my busy work schedule. That really helped make the process easy and enjoyable.

Thank you, Poonam for your help. I couldn’t have done this without you

I was looking for a consultant to help me organize my thought process and provide me a constructive feedback on my ‘story’ to make my essays the strongest part of the application.

I was impressed with Great reviews of myEssayReview services by GMAT club members, so I signed up for my application for MiF program of the LBS.

After Poonam reviewed first drafts of my essays, she claimed that my story already sounded impressive. But she suggested several very important spins and additions to the existing content, allowing for more clear vision of my long-term goals.

Poonam effectively helped me to highlight key points of the story and colorfully illustrate my strongest areas. My essays’ structure significantly improved following Poonam’s recommendations and reviews. Poonam trimmed them down the word count by c. 20% beyond my expectations without compromising on key statements.

The turnaround was extremely effective – average turn-around time was even lower than 24 hour as stipulated on the website.

I have got an offer from LBS, my dream school, and I will be joining the program in August! Thank you so much for your help; it was truly amazing.

I would recommend Poonam’s services to anyone who is targeting to make the most out of the essay part of the application. Amazing experience worth its money.
