Magoosh offers a unique product, unique content at a unique price. Given that it is one of the smaller shops in the GMAT prep world some of you may have apprehensions and rightly so, because it is more or less an obscure GMAT prep company.

Thanks to GMATCLUB Magoosh will one day cease to be obscure as the content provided has been designed by accredited experts.

Most of the content videos (SC, CR, IR, RC and Quant) have been created by Brent Hanneson who is well known GMAT guru in Canada. Brent scored a 770 and he used to be an instructor at Veritas and now does private tutoring and a conducts a GMAT class at UBC. All the Math Questions video explanations are narrated by Brent. The Math questions have been inspired by old OG questions and not even a single explanation will leave you hanging.

Now for the not so great part, most of verbal questions are very good, but there are few out there that deserve to be done away with. Verbal questions have been created by Dave Scalise and are narrated by 'Verbal Lady' (well they don't reveal her identity). Unfortunately the Verbal lady is quite monotone and likes to rush through the explanations, but overall the Verbal content is solid. The RC passages are among the best out there at par with RC99, Veritas and MGMAT.

What really differentiates Magoosh is their customer service. Their response time for emails is almost none, if you email Bhavin Parikh he'll get back to you within 10-15 minutes. If you have any issues with the content you'll find that the Magoosh team has a real west coast work ethic. As they're easy to deal with and ready to roll-up their sleeves to help you out.

Overall, Magoosh offers an excellent product at a very decent price. I wish, I had found their website before I paid 1300$ for a prep course with a major test prep company.

The video lessons were very helpful. All the GMAT topics were covered wonderfully! Also the OG video solution for maths came in handy.
The practice questions helped me a lot in finding out my weak areas. At the end of each session, it also suggested me some video lessons that helped me improving specific areas.
Another thing that really impressed me was their prompt response to my queries, be it related to specific questions or GMAT as a whole.
Magoosh played a very important role in my GMAT preparation.
I would certainly recommend this course to everyone, not just GMAT, but also for GRE.

I had an idea of what the GMAT would be like. I remember distinctly taking the GRE (with minimal prep) for my previous masters program and I did NOT want to be that unprepared! I signed up for a GMAT prep course at the local university that included access to Magoosh. It worked out well, because I had used a trial of Magoosh and had already planned to extend my subscription.

The videos were great! They were broken down enough that I didn't feel overwhelmed. I was able to review specific areas without having to go through things I didn't need. The questions were helpful, especially the explanations. I loved the overall layout of the website. It was very user-friendly.

I wish I had utilized it more, but I didn't give myself enough time before I took the GMAT (only 2 months and working full-time); however, Magoosh supplemented my other study materials and course perfectly and further clarified some of the trickier problems. I scored a 680, which I know could have been higher with additional prep, but I'm happy with that and recommend Magoosh to anyone wanting to acheive their goal score.

I have been using a combination of study materials, but out of all of them I have to say the Magoosh Premium is the best of them all. the pros of this amazing prep course I've seen include the following:


-ability to use the software anywhere, whether it be on a PC, Mac, tablet, smartphone, or any other device with internet connection
- breakdown of the topics in the tutorial section
- ability to filter specific topics to work on in the practice section
-being able to track problems answered incorrectly, correctly, and track progress
-the option to flag specific problems in order to take another look at it later
-tutorial videos that were related to the problem after you complete each problem if you feel you need another lesson on that specific topic. tip of advice for watching video; right click on lesson video below the explanation of how to solve the problem and choose option to open in new tab.I found this to be very helpful.
-good stimulator of the real GMAT through the practice portion

A friend of mine who was studying for the GRE recommended Magoosh, and I couldn't be happier with their service. The reason I found Magoosh so helpful is that the GMAT is all about tips and tricks: without Magoosh, I would never have felt as comfortable with the format of the test and the themes of the questions. The GMAT is unlike any test I have taken before. I just graduated college, so although I will be taking the GMAT again with more math training, Magoosh helped give me a lot of confidence because of the strategies the lessons taught me. Magoosh helped me focus on what was important so I spent more time studying the right areas, and calmed me down so that I spent less time worrying and more time studying.

Recently, I purchased the Magoosh online Premium course. I cannot spend ample time in reading the books and main intension was to get the videos instead reading all the content from the books. I did lot research in analyzing the courses and I found Magoosh to be very reasonable in all the factors like Price, topics covered and practice questions.

Till now, I found the videos very useful and more or less it covers all the topics which are there in MGMAT books.

I cut down a single rating because I think they still can improve on their practice questions.

Magoosh's video resources are amazing... All topics covered on the GMAT are also covered in the videos and broken down into categories. From Data sufficiency to sentence correction there is a huge database of videos to help! Moreover, Magoosh has a test bank that is one of the best I have seen. Not only does it gauge your performance, it compares you to other people who have also done the same question... It will give information on your time compared to other users as well. What is more, each and every question comes with a text and video explanation! This is a great starting resource for anyone interested in taking the GMAT!

Magoosh does a really good job of giving you hundreds of practice questions that you can tailor to your needs (only get hard questions, only get questions on a specific subject,etc) Which is really nice if you already know your weaknesses. It also keeps track of everything for you, so you can filter through and see what percent you are getting correct based on subject or difficulty. I really enjoyed it as a practice tool, but the lessons they had were not as interactive as Kaplan or Knewton online lessons.

I am non native speaker and my verbal was very poor. I joined Magoosh keeping in mind that it would improve my score and I was RIGHT.

I improved my score by 150 marks after joining this course. The course is beautifully designed to give you all the ingredient of success. You can ask questions in help section at any time and customer care really cares for the users.

With more than 700 questions you have more than enough questions to practice and recently they have added chapters also to review. I would suggest this course to anyone who lacks quant skills. For verbal section you need more practice than listen to the answers. Go for it if you wanna succeed in GMAT.

I was devastated when I gave first time gmat and scored poorly i.e. 580 and I was on the verge of leaving my dream of MBA behind. But one day, I say this course and I thought of giving it a try. It was very much affordable at that time! SO I signed up for it. I practiced almost for 4 months on this course and I got my scored improved from 580 to 680.

I would say it's quant part is very much tough. You will get many 700+ question but it doesn't mean that it don't have low level questions. It is perfectly designed for the people who love learning from the videos.

Verbal part is also good but my verbal was already at the normal level but it definitely helped me to brush up my basics.

Most of the the service center replied within 2 - 4hours and I loved that help. I would recommend this course to everyone.
