Hi!
I was wondering if you could evaluate my profile/chances?
I am a 25 year old male from the former Soviet Union (non-resident in the US).
BS in Finance and BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. I have a few academic honors/awards. GPA 3.81/4.00
Applying for: Fall 2015, R1
GMAT: 770 (Q50 V44) first try
Total work experience: 5 years (by matriculation), all in NYC, no big names
1 year in consulting out of college (small boutique specialist)
2 years in equity research (top ranked premier boutique brokerage)
2 years in fintech startup in a leadership role (still focused on equity research)
Extracurricular activities: on the weak side, all in college
1 year as a Teaching Assistant for an MBA (i know, lol) finance course
1 year in a leadership position at a consulting club
Target schools:
Stanford - tech entrepreneurship
Wharton - extremely good operations management department (ignored it while I was there as an undergrad)
MIT - same reasons as Stanford
Languages:
Russian (kind of obvious)
I have a feeling that Stanford will be an extremely long shot.
