Re: 710 on OG PREP but only 650 on actual test [#permalink]
A big drop in quant -- sometimes on the real test, you might be confident you had the right answer, but a small nuance in reading the question may have changed the whole question. So pay attention to small things like that.

Also, it is important to make sure you simulate real exam conditions. The same period of time for breaks. The same time of day. Your daily routine of breakfast food so you know whether you're in danger to go to the bathroom for breaks.

Re-taking is frightening - what if you do worse? That's why the second time around, you want to make sure you have a fool-proof strategy. If anything, you should be targeting to do better than your previous scores.

It's normal to feel nervous on the day of the exam. I don't want you to doubt your ability though. The GMATPreps are very good tests, so you should go in knowing that you can do it. Do something before the exam to relax, if you think that'd help.

Hi daletang,

Before I can offer you the advice that you're looking for, I really need for you to answer the specific questions that I asked (in my prior post). The answers to those questions will likely yield some follow-up questions that will help to define why your score dropped.
