750 (Q 48 V 45) - Need to retake? [#permalink] New post 05 Oct 2013, 00:36
Hi,

I gave my GMAT today and got a 750 comprising of a quant score of 48 (76th percentile) and a verbal score of 45 (99th percentile).

My question is whether it is necessary for me to give it again to try and bring my quant score above the 80th percentile or whether this is not really necessary.

I will probably be applying to Harvard, Stanford and INSEAD.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Arka

Hi Arka!

It is most definitely NOT necessary for you to retake the GMAT. The quant section is very difficult on the GMAT for many people. A score of 750 is an amazing score. The fact that you scored below the 80th % on quant is not important. It is your 200-800 score that really matters.

I hope this helps!!! CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations on your brilliant score. If I were you, I wouldn't retake GMAT. You should not worry about your quant as your overall score of 750 will be enough to convey the message about your academic capabilities.Focus on compiling an excellent application to compliment your GMAT. Good luck.
