given time = 2 hours 40 mins
40 mins can be written as 40/60 hours = 2/3 hrs

total time = 2 + (2/3) = 8/3 hrs
therefore, speed = 160 /(8/30) = 60
option B

Since we have to find the speed in miles/hr, we will convert time in hours units.

2 hours and 40 minutes= 2+40/60= 8/3hr

speed= 160/8/3= 60 miles/hr

B is the answer

Using an approximation approach if you are running short of time.


160 miles in slightly less than 3 hrs => 160/3* = 53.33* - answer is more than 53.33 because as the denominator decreases the value increases.
The speed is definitely less than 160/2=80 which is option C.
Hence answer has to be B
