How is everyone feeling about R1? How far along is everyone in the process?

Currently I've interviewed, Recommendations are in, now prepping for EA and finalizing my essays.

Hey amill,
I am in the process too. I took my EA, working on the essays now and have my interview this Saturday.
How was the interview? Any tips?

I'm all set -- took the EA and had my interview last month. Sent the application shortly after the interview, and my recs are both in as of last week. Waiting game now!

I am sure both Angrynrdrckr and jeometricals would provide you prep tips for EA, I also want to make you aware of a thread where people share their experiences of EA prep and exam. You may want to read those EA debriefs too. Here is the link: Experiences with Executive Assessment - Post Your EA Experience Here

EA consists of three sections: IR, Verbal, and Quant. The format of the questions is like GMAT (no geometry for Quant section) and it is a shorter version of GMAT. I recommend to start with EA Official Prep to see your areas of strength and weakness. It also has brief tutorials for the quant section. here is the link to EA Official Prep
https://www.gmac.com/executive-assessme ... icial-prep

Also, if you need more practice problems you can find tons of them for free on the Practice Question Bank of this website. They are actually for GMAT, but as I mentioned the type of the questions are similar. Here is the link
https://gmatclub.com/forum/search.php?view=search_tags

Hope it helps and good luck with your EA test

I had my interview today with Tayla from the admission office. It was pretty much conversational and informal. She asked me to start with my work and academic background then some typical questions. I think they more want to see your character and personality during the interview or if there is any ambiguity in your resume. It’s definitely evaluative but I think nothing to be worry about. Just be yourself and make sure to know what exactly you’re looking for out of the program.
Good luck and let’s keep the hope up

Thanks! It was conversational -- more like a job interview. Started with walking through resume and then diverted to other questions based on that initial question. Some questions about management style, career goals, etc. Nothing out of line that I wouldn't have anticipated

Good luck for the final decision Angrynrdrckr and thanks for telling us about your interview. May I request to write about your interview experience in Wharton interview debriefs section whenever you have time? We don't have any detailed debrief on Executive MBA there. Thanks in advance!

I submitted my application for R1. Does anyone know if Wharton starts reviewing all applications after the deadline and the results come out altogether or there is any chance we hear back from them earlier?
Because as far as I know Columbia reviews applications as soon as you submit it and you may get the decision way before the deadlines.

You can request a one-time early decision if you are accepted to a school with rolling admission and send Wharton your acceptance letter with response deadline date. Otherwise, all decisions go out at the same time in January

How is everyone feeling with R1 less than a month away. I've done everything except finish the last essay about Giver/Taker been working that for a bout 2 weeks now trying to decide how to answer it.

EA -Done
Recommendations - Done
Sponsorship Letter - Done
Interview - Done
All other essays - Done

Do you have to have official transcripts in too or can you use your unofficial until your accepted or not?

10 days left for R1 submissions and I see 2 app submissions report on tracker. Good luck to the others who are working on their apps.

Hey guys! I'm part of the 2019 intake that just finished its second term. I'm poking around here after a pretty brutal work/school stretch in Q4 and happy to give back if there's any way I can help.

Feel free to reply or PM me!

Thank you for checking in here! Some questions for you:
(1) What has been the biggest surprise (good and/or not so good) so far?
(2) What are other programs you considered?
(3) Describe your average study/project schedule outside of class time, e.g., meet with study group over Skype on Monday nights
