I am definitely sorry to hear that. For better or worse, I think COVID really threw everyone's normal plans into chaos. I know the campus is still closed and even getting books mailed to enrolled students presented significant challenges. I think the AdCom and entire staff were probably focused on just figuring out how to get the term started and orienting students this week, maybe losing focus on areas that normally receive attention. It's not an excuse or defense, but just my interpretation. That said, admission decisions are so important for applicants and I wish you had a better experience. I would contact Barb and see if you might be able to have a chat or email exchange.
You seem like a strong candidate, with a good background. I hope you have success in 2021 at Wharton or in 2020 if you had a backup plan. There are LOTS of engineers, or former engineers, in the class. It's definitely heavy on the quant side.

Is there anybody else that Wharton completely ghosted after putting on WL? I'm asking as I'm not sure if I should re-apply in 2021 or not?
