based on 12 sessions
A house seller can deduct 5 percent from the total sales value. If he has sold 5 houses, and the price of two houses is between $150,000 and $250,000, one of them is $300,000 house, two houses are between $500,000 and 750,000, what is the range of his revenue? A. 450000 B. 510000 C. 570000 D. 660000 E. 780000

Hi, you are almost OK. However, the range is for the total revenue, not for the discounts.

(In the example above, I will simplify to smaller numbers)

(1) 2(150)+300+2(500) = 1600

1600*0.95=1520 (Revenue considering the minimum values with the discount)

(2) 2(250)+300+2(750) = 2300 (Revenue considering the maximum values without the discount)

So, the the revenue range could be = 2300 - 1520 = 780 (Answ E)

how m i solving it..m unable to get the ans :D i did like this..where m i wrong?? Let the first house be sold for 150,000. Let the 5th house be sold for 750,000. Difference is 600000 5% of 600000 is 30000 = 570000 Ans: C

Sorry but why didn t you deducted from the 2300 the 115???

Thus the range is 665,000.

The answer is def not E
