So, as we move along the process, it becomes in worse and worse taste to speak with pride about our successes in the admissions process. Worse still, when you try to explain how well you did to a friend/coworker/family member - they really don't understand how meaningful your accomplishment is.
So, here it is. The place to be boastful and brag about how fantastic you did! Better still, people who read this will know how meaningful your accomplishment was.
We have all worked hard on our admissions to some great schools, so lets keep this ABOUT YOURSELF. You don't need to put anyone else down in order to boost your own accomplishments. In this same vein, their is no "baseline" accomplishment required to post here.
Just whatever it is that you are proud of and would like to share. Since this is a (relatively) anonymous forum, we can get it out of our systems without hurting anyone's feelings or our own reputation. After all, we worked hard, we deserve to let off some steam!

I'll start:
I have effectively zero "real" business experience.
But...
I rocked the GMAT - 750.
Got into 3 schools so far, waiting on my 4th school in the next few days
-UNC
-UW
-Vandy (with >90% scholarship and an offer to compete for dean's scholarship)
I think I did pretty well for myself, and I am looking forward to the fall!

I used to navigate this kind of terrain ( http://abandoned-orphaned.typepad.com/p ... stream.jpg) on my way to lunch in grade school but am now interviewing for a place at world class institutions (insert Wharton and Cornell here).

I love this post. I get so frustrated when people dont understand how hard it was to get into B school this year....
Feeling pretty good about my success, 3 schools, Duke, UNC, Vandy, 3 Admits! full ride at Vandy with the nomination for Dean's Scholar....DUKE IT IS!

Wow MBAHunter - our school lists/finaid are pretty close!
Did you end up attending the vandy scholar weekend? I would have loved to go, but would have felt too guilty taking a free cross-country trip knowing I wouldn't attend =)

Nope, didnt go. I decided against Vandy but still might have gone on the trip if it wasnt for the obscure Case presentation we had to give. I was fine doing the interview but doing a case study presentation with little to no experience didnt seem like fun to me. I'll have plenty of time for that at Duke...

My school was located on one end of the slums and my best friend lived on the other so we would walk across the slum to her home for lunch. I lived far away in some government housing and even though I used to be walked to school by my big brother it was way too far for me to walk back for lunch.
