This application is extra stressful being that my SO is already there, I'd love to join him, but the chances are slim.
im surprised to not see tuck or mit on your list! both are excellent schools in the vicinity.
One more school for R2 here. the process drags on.
There is no way I'd be happy in Hanover and I don't feel like MIT is a fit for me (although they do have a great real estate program). Although I'd like to be near him, this is a long term investment for myself and I have to consider what I want out of a program and which would be best for me.
Good luck to all round 2 applicants. I guess 3-4 more months isn't so much in the grand scheme of things (I've been thinking about b-school since 2007)
I was actually going to say the same thing-- the Boston --> Tuck commute really isn't bad at all--I know a lot of people who've done it rather successfully. But as you said, you have to be happy in rural New Hampshire and it isn't for everyone.
For me--I'm still working on Wharton & Columbia, and haven't even started writing the essays for HBS, which is making me nervous. But at least HBS isn't my #1 choice (not that I wouldn't be thrilled to be accepted)
3-4 months is nothing--I agree. But I'm still all jumpy and excited. Hahaha.
