Boston College (Carroll) 2013 - Calling All Applicants!

I applied Feb 15 (after Rd2 but well before Rd3 cutoff). I was invited to an interview Feb 27. So about 2 weeks for me to hear back.

Got an acceptance with 5K(per year) schol. not really excited but fine...ne ways....all the best for you all.

Hey guys! I submitted my application on Feb 18 in the 3rd round and haven't got any information. I will go back to China soon and want to have an face to face interview instead of skype, so can I just contact the admissions, asking them when I can get the school's decision on my application? Background: GMAT740, TOEFL110, undergraduate GPA3.3, 5 years experience in private education service in China. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I sent in my application for R3 on March 14th and got an interview invite the next day. I interviewed on the 26th and now I'm waiting to hear. Just checking in here to see if any other round three people have heard anything yet? BC seems to do everything really quickly.. I'm extremely impatient!

Just received an admit from Boston College couple of days back.
Has anyone connected with the alumni of the college so far.

I have tried to reach out to speak to a current student or alum, but have not been able to find any students I can speak with.

March 15: Applied
March 26: Interview request
April 4: Interviewed
April 11: Accepted

I applied R4, completed my application last night. Got an interview offer this morning. Seems very quick, but I'm assuming I'm one of the only people to submit the app last minute so they weren't exactly swamped this morning.

I'd love to hear some suggestions for the interview process if you have them. I'm doing an on-campus interview the 30th of April.

I graduated a year before hypermagnet, but here are some observations:

First off, if you are applying to the evening program, you have to be a complete retard not to get in. I don't mean to insult people in the evening program because there were some very smart, high quality individuals in my classes who were in the evening program, but the evening program is a cash cow for BC, so they let anyone in. There was one guy I remember who they let in despite never having set foot in an office before and who could not even adhere to basic rules of professional courtesy like meeting deadlines or responding to emails.

Second, the interviews are really just to make sure you aren't a complete asshole. With a class of only 100 people, you do have to make sure that, while they may not be able to work well together, they at least can get along with people.

Good to note about the interviews. I am gathering a similar picture to the interview process. The AdCom is not necessarily looking for profound information from the applicant. Rather, they are looking to make sure the applicant can conduct themselves in a professional manner, will be able to easily participate in the program, and to make sure the applicant isn't socially inept and will be able to get a job on the other side of the MBA program.

Got a wait list letter today. Anyone have any experience with being admitted from the WL?
