Congrats red_s4!! I am on the RD1 waitlist as well but still waiting for any notification. I didn't think they were going to release decisions until 3/31 as stated in the WL e-mail.

By what did you submit your supplemental materials if you did at all?

matty, the interview invites come out on a rolling basis, with NO correlation on your desirability versus when you get the invite. People have gotten the invite less than a week before the R2 decisions and have gotten in right after. So don't stress out too much about it. Even if you don't get the interview invite, you still may be W/L, and have a 50+% chance of getting in.

I had 2 more recommenders send in recommendations (one peer, one supervisor) and I submitted a short update. I think everything was sent in the week of 2/18.

I was very surprised to hear from them today. I had a missed call from a 510 number, so I immediately called back and I reached someone in admissions who told me the good news. I am so excited!!!

I also submitted 2 additional recommendations and an updated statement but everything was sent in on 3/17. I'm really hoping to get the call as well.

I applied in this final round and wanted to ask everyone how long it took to hear from Haas regarding interviews. It has only been a week, and I expect it will be some time still, but I am, as you can expect, apprehensive.

OMG OMG OMG!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! Good for you notokung! I was worried there that there hasn't been any good news from Haas since R1 decisions. Here's more positive thinking for others on the W/L! Do remember to show your interest in Haas and stay positive, and you have a very good chance of getting in!

Thks guys... Berkeley has been my dream school for years so it is a dream comes true for me. As an international, I am not so sure whether I will be able to make it to DAH in April as I will have to deal with all the visa procedure and dont think it will be done by then. Anyway, hope all of you attending DAH have a great time there and if possible please take photos and share them with me. I have never visited Berkeley before so getting an idea what the campus actually looks like would help me a lot. Cheers.

notokung, we will take pictures for you! It is hard for us domestic people to comprehend the extra added difficulty in applying and deciding on schools that international students have to deal with. I personally could never attend a school I've never visited, but that's just me.

R3 applicant here. I just received an interview invite today and was wondering if you guys have any opinions on on-campus vs. alumni interview? I live in the Bay Area so traveling isn't a concern. But I have previously done the campus/class visit.

I'd be interested in hearing about people's experiences with both types of interviews for Haas.

I did super saturday, so that counts as an on campus, but it was with an alum. I don't think it really matters. If you haven't visited Haas yet, do it on campus. If you have many times, then it really doesn't matter. You'll probably get a student or adcom on campus, and alum off campus.
