Darden (Virginia) 2013 - Calling All Applicants!

Haven't really heard anyone post from the West Coast yet so they could still be calling. Also, they said that statuses would be changing at midnight on your application online

Got the call today at 10:53 a.m. Central.

HOORAY!

It was the adcom member I interviewed with. She said that they weren't sure when we'd find out about scholarships, but the scholarship committee met last week. She said that she hopes it will be in the update tonight at midnight, but again, she isn't sure. But she said it should be in the official offer letter in the mail.

She also told me about some other things like Darden days and another meet and greet type event before that, but honestly, I was too busy flipping out with excitement, I can't remember what all she said, haha.

For anyone interested, my last name starts with a W.

I'm not Olivia, but the adcom person said the same thing when I went there to interview. I also heard it from her again today when I got the admit phone call.

I never received the call, but I just got an email with a video of a bunch of people saying I have been admitted. Have you received the same video??? Please let me know!!!

The admit letter on the status page makes it sound like it will all be in our snail mailed packet.

"This mailing includes your financial aid information, as well as a welcome gift."

I don't see any other information about scholarships.

Am I crazy, or did they say over the phone that we'd receive the packet tomorrow (meaning 12/19)?

The checklist says the security deposit deadline ($1000) is Feb 28,2013. Most R2 decisions will still be pending by then.

Putting 1000$ down the drain is a regular phenomenon here ? Someone shed some light.

I agree completely. Very good chance I'll attend as well, but unfortunately scholarships do play a big role in my financial situation. Darden was also my first decision received.

I probably won't be able to make Day@Darden due to work. But in your phone call, did they also mention Darden Days later on next year? I blanked out a little, too, over the excitement, haha, but I thought I heard them say that Darden Days attendance is required?

Admitted! Got the call yesterday morning around 10:45am EST. I'm not usually a night owl, but I was too excited to sleep last night until I got the final letter. What a sweet video they included!

A scholarship would be icing on the cake, but as others have said, I didn't get any info about it in my letter in the online portal. I think the adcom member who called mentioned something about scholarships/financial aid being in the official letter, but to be honest, I sort of blanked out after "congratulations!"

I think there's a good chance I'll attend, but it's tough to say until I hear back from other schools (Darden was the first decision I received).

Who will I see in February for Day@Darden??!
