Now that I've submitted my Michigan application, the paranoid, irrational part of my brain has kicked in to high gear.

My transcripts are somewhat confusing. I did my first two years at school A, then transferred to school B for my third and final year. However, I took a few summer classes at school A during between my third and fourth year. School B award me the degree.

Then I went back to school A to take a few more undergrad courses as I need them as pre-requisites before I pursued a graduate degree at school A.

Got it?

Oh yeah, and school A has a 4 point GPA scale, while school B has a 9 point.

Is this something I should have explained in the optional essay? I thought no, since it doesn't really have an impact on my candidacy.

So the question is, if the adcom is confused, will they contact me for clarification or just toss my app in the REJECT pile because it's not worth there time to figure it out? :-D

Although I've already submitted the app, I've still got some time before the deadline. Is it worth throwing together a one-page summary of how my transcripts all fit together?

If it's VERY VERY VERY short and in no way defensive, it probably wouldn't hurt. My college had an unusual system (block plan), so I put together a few sentences about how it worked, just in case anyone found my transcript confusing.

depends on the school. If I were you I would call up the school to ask. I know some schools overtly frown on any additional information.

LBS contacted me for my current job status before putting me on waitlist last year. It wasn't very clear on my app (as I was in between jobs at the time that I applied, however, was working at the time they made their decisions). I would say that it really depends on which school and whether they are actually interested in you.

I emailed Ross and they told me "we look at transcripts from all over the world, don't worry we'll figure it out".
