Given that 16 folks are interviewed, probably 8 admits and 1-2 asian, my hunch.

Yes, I wasn't invited during the EA period. So my guess is I'll probably get a waitlist decision during EA and will be considered under R1.

Wait, if 16 folks were interviewed, even at a 30% acceptance rate, 4 people get in. One already got in. That means 3 more invites left. Sounds wrong.

Do you all know if we will be getting phone calls regardless of the verdict? Or will only those admitted be receiving phone calls?

i think only the admitted students receive a call

last year R2, calls started to go out around this time.....keeping hanging to those cell phones folks. They are coming....

If R2 started getting calls around now last year, do you know around what time those denied got the associated email?

From last year, you mean? I'm an international applicant, so they released me from waitlist limbo back in May, I think.
