Hello Friends,
My self Akshay and I am from Patna.I am starting my prep for GMAT but before that I have some doubts and want honest clarification on that.
Please look into my profile and advice:
I have 5.5 yrs of work experience.A perfect IIM-Indian IT male
Currently working with Bank of America as senior software engineer.
worked 2.5 years for Cognizant then 1 yr for Headstrong. All IT experience no managerial.Working as Mainframe professional.banking and finance is my domain and all these years worked for banking projects only.
I completed my B.tech in computer science and engineering from NIT jalandhar in 2007 with CGPA of 7.4(out of 10).
the main problem and worry for me is I have 4 yrs of gap in between 12th and B.tech, all thanks to IIT prep and stupid careless nature
Now I want to go for GMAT and want to proceed in Financial field as that was always my area of interest.
But I am worried about my profile and not sure if even I score a decent marks I will be able to get into premier schools(like ISB and IIM,XLRI etc).
Need honest guidance here,
Is my profile is too bad for B-schools in India?
Do I need to score really high to get noticed in Indian schools...what do you think will be safe total for me?or based on my profile its a dream for me?
What all options I have..if not in India then outside
Please guide.
Thanks in advance
