In general, I've found US schools to be stingier with funding, perhaps due to the fact that a higher percentage of students are sponsored by the company as against other MS programs in the same school. By the way, I'm leaving out the lower ranked MBA schools in the US like MSU (Broad) that hand out full aid in terms of assistantships. They're ranked well below what I'm shooting for.

What exactly do you mean by "financial aid"? Fee Waiver? If thats the case, I don't think the situation is any different in Europe. From what I know, in top bschools only a very small % gets fee waiver/scholarship. Getting admitted into INSEAD/LBS/IMD is difficult enough, even without the financial aid part.

But if you mean loans, then I guess you'll have plenty to chose from both in US and Europe.
NOTE - INSEAD and Oxford-Said do NOT have a guaranteed loan program.
