Thanks.... I really want to get it before it's too late and it won't be useful.
I have the same concern: Where kind of jobs I will be aiming for post-MBA with my years of experience? I was thinking of consulting but not just in engineering. I was wishing my MBA will broaden my horizon and increase my chances to something bigger and better.
As for the GMAT... yes, I am frightened to lose again in the battelfield. Who likes to get a score below 600 after months of studies regardless of age. For some odd reason, that exam atmosphere is not the best place you want to fight the battle. I am more prone to traditional paper exam environment.
Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Hi Kenneth,
It does get tougher to gain acceptance to a full time MBA program with 10+ years of experience. Many applicants in that situation look at Executive programs, or even part-time programs. Sometimes the question will come up of exactly what job you would be aiming for post-MBA with such extensive experience and how the MBA will play a part in that... if you can successfully answer that, you may have a better chance. Note that Exec MBA programs often have slightly lower average GMAT scores. Part-time, at top programs, can still be about as high as full time. As for the GMAT, no need to cancel scores (if did it again!) because schools take your HIGHEST score, so not a ton to lose if you still have a chance to re-take.
Also just a side note, because the nature of the GMAT is that it is adaptive, as you do better, it will get more challenging... so contrary to say, tests you took in school, you should NOT feel that you did well on it, lol! If that makes sense. Most everyone will walk out saying wow, that was tough, not sure how I did... until they see the score. So I'd advise next time don't let that worry you... if it felt tough, that hopefully meant you were doing well and it kept getting tougher to find your ability level.
Good luck !
