Hello Good People,
I'm caught between a rock and a hard place now - should I apply for the very competitive final round of intake for the Full Time Fall 2011 program or take it easy and apply for R1/2 of intake for the Full Time Fall 2012 program?
Here's a little back ground info. I'm sure it will give a clear picture of the present situation.
1. I plan to apply to the B-Schools classified as 'Elite' [such as Harvard, Berkely, Anderson, Columbia, Booth etc]
2. The average GMAT score for these institutions range between 700 and 720. My present GMAT score is 650. I need to improve by 70 points to reach the 'average' score. I have two years of full time work experience and I can secure 2 or 3 strong letters of recommendation. I believe I can portray my unique attributes convincingly through the essays and statement of purpose.
However, due to the competitive nature of the final round, I need to score +750 on the GMAT.
3. The deadlines for the final round ranges from mid March to Early April. So, I'll have to re-appear for the GMAT latest by the last week of this month! I also have to score a +110 on the TOEFL [I'm not a native English speaker]
Kindly share your opinion on this. I thank you in advance
