I would think the Johnson school at Cornell would be great for this since Cornell has their hotel school where you could potentially cross register or maybe even do a hospitality dual degree of some sort.

I think there is a bit of misconception about MBA specializations. You can get an emphasis but program prestige and work experience will always trump specialization.

The only 2 programs I am aware of are Cornell and Essec and those are not MBA programs but rather MMH.

My suggestion would be to go for cornell(Johnson) for recruiting reasons but if you can get into a higher ranked program, which your question implies that it is not likely. If you do analysis of hospitality company execs you will see that there is no school in particular that stands out.... It is a mix.

Make sure you have a strong work experience behind you and that should open up the right doors. Every industry always needs good talent with or without MBA.

I think the risk with Johnson is that the Admissions Committee might wonder why you aren't applying to the Hotel school.

I've done some research into this, and from what I've seen, among the top programs, Kellogg, Booth, Harvard and Wharton have strong ties to the hotel industry. Barry Sternlicht is an HBS grad, for example.
