It seems like Chicago, Kellogg, and Stanford are skipping the World and MBA Tours...

What is the ROI on the "MBA Tour" events? [#permalink]
Has anyone actually attended one of the thembatour dot com events?
I am in Portland and the most feasible event for me is in SFO and would cost over 300$ in travel expenses.
Any opinions on whether that investment is worth it?

Thanks
Balki

I am in a similar situation. Except the locations for me are either Chicago or Minneapolis.

yeah, I'd like to know from people who have attended these if they're worth it. The MBA tour (not world one) is a full day... that's a full day I can work on my essays! ;)

you could use that time to do some better things, like have a romantic moment, dinner date, and some intimate thoughts with your girl friend.....

You really need to get your priorities straight

me and my essays - that line alone shouls put you into Stanford. Its the epitome of self-sacrifice

Yeah, except I'm stuck in a cabin with 40+ college people for the next 2.5 days near Yosemite. It'll be interesting... nothing romantic about it at all! ;)

"What matters to you most, and why?"

I went to the MBAtour last year in Chicago. It was pretty cool actually. You get the chance to talk to admission directors and officers from more than 80 MBA programs/schools. You can get the admission director for the school of your desire to get to know. You can freely face-to-face ask any question you have about the school, admissions, and your brief profile evaluation, whether you have a decent shot at the school.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend any as I don't live in the US anymore. I'm in the middle of no where now, Kuwait.
