Well guys , here is my brief of 650(Q 48 , V 32).
I started preparing in the month of May 2010 with
OG 10,11,12 , course material from a local Prep center,
MGMAT SC.
I presumed myself decent in quant but always faced lot of issues in verbal part as I am not a native speaker. I initially planned to take GMAT around 2nd -3rd week of Aug'2010 but in 2nd week of July i had Malaria fever due to which my 10 days were totally washed off. I was back to square one in my verbal part without any practice of RC and SC for almost 10 days. As soon as I got out of Malaria, I caught viral fever and wasted another week. So it will almost start of Aug and I didn't practiced for almost 3 weeks. Then my resurrection part started and I got a bit of temp when i met an accident on Aug 26th. I broke my right hand thumb and had to wear a plaster. So couldn't write anything for around 10 days and I only continued reading part. Now after I got fine from all the problem , my preparation started gathering steam and i planned to start taking GMATPrep.
GMAT Prep1 : 650
GMAT Prep2 : 680
GMAT Prep1 repeat : 730
GMAT Prep2 repeat : 710
GMAT Prep1 repeat : 690
GMAT Prep2 repeat : 700
I was consistently scoring 50 in quant but ranging 31-36 in verbal. Once I even scored 38 in verbal but few repeated questions.
MGMAT 1: 660
Finally took an appointment on 1st October 2010 and went on vacation from 17th Sept -1st Oct. Put in 2 weeks of sheer hard work with day and night of study. Though I concentrated less on RC , i focused more on SC. I didn't do much of CR apart from OG10 and 12.
On test day i.e 1st Oct i got an information early in the morning that my test has cancelled due to unforeseen national holiday in India and now it was shifted on 11th Oct. I was totally pi$$ed off as i had already exhausted a lot of leaves during the course of prep and last 2 weeks were totally dedicated to my prep.
In next 10 days i was not able to do much but revised my quant and SC funda.
Yesterday was my D'day for which i have been preparing on and off for around 5 months now.
I reached my center at 12 0'clock for an appointment of 1 0'clock and to my surprise there was a error in GMAT software due to which the test coordinators were re-installing the software since 8:30 am in morning. They should have atleast informed the scheduled candidates through a phone. They kept me waiting till 3:00pm and told me that they don’t know till when the system will finish with system upgradation so in case I want to reschedule my date then i can. But i was in no mood for that as i had already for my date rescheduled from 1st to 11th Oct and it’s really difficult to keep up the tempo will unforeseen test date.
During all my frustration and dilemma I was asked to start my test at 3:30pm. God has finally listened to me and helped them to get their system in place. Finished my test at 7:30pm in evening and by that time I was totally exhausted and drenched out after that long haul of test from 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Finally when i got my score , I couldn't have imagined for worse and got 650 (Q 48 , V32), which is like good for nothing.
I felt totally dejected , disheartened and demoralized. I don’t know what to do now. I cannot apply any of the good schools with this score and now planning to tame GMAT again.
All in all a very bad experience.
