Hello, everybody,
I're recently got admitted to ESSEC, EDHEC and EMLyon B-schools (Msc in Management programs), and currently need your help to choose between them.
Concerning my profile: get a bachelor degree in law (Russia) in June 2014, GMAT 700, part-time work experience in legal company and IT company, just starting to study French, would like to work in consulting or IT sectors, and really want to move in Singapore, US or UK after graduation.
Plus, I am admitted to LSE (but its too expensive for me), and got rejected from HEC after their interview
Concerning possible choices:
ESSEC: pluses - Singapore track
- 18 months of work experience included in the program
- apprenticeship track, including some international partners
- good exchange universities (especially in US, such as Chicago Booth, Thunderbird etc)
- close to Paris
- specialized track in Management of Information Systems, which seems quite interesting and useful
minuses - 3 or even 4 years of education
- a lot of interesting courses r only in French
- Cergy campus is located in Paris suburb, like in a bit of nowhere
EMlyon: pluses - Shanghai campus,
- 12 months of work experience included in the program,
- entrepreneurship orientation
- good exchanges (but not top like ESSEC has)
- Lyon is a great city, it would be the best overall experience
minuses: - takes 3 or 4 years to complete
- the most expensive of above
- no apprenticeship track
- curriculum is still not clear for me, so, I am not sure if it would be interesting for me as at ESSEC
EDHEC: pluses - offered me 40% reduction of tuition fees
- apprenticeship track
- not so good exchange partners, but good double degrees (LSE, Mannheim)
- exact 3 years
minuses:
- the least known from above,
- location - Lille is quite small
- no international exposure (except double degrees, which r still quite european)
- not good curriculum for me
I am afraid all schools r not well known in the US or abroad of France (even though all have alumnus working abroad); however, I think that for me ESSEC is the best choice. Anyway, would like to know you opinion and get your advice regarding above mentioned long-term goals of mine.
Thank you in advance!
