After a 3-month study, I took the GMAT yesterday and got a better score than what I expected. I want to share my experience hoping that it will shed light to those who are wondering what this GMAT monster looks like.
I started studying with ARCO about 3 months ago. That was the only book I could find where I currently live (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). Then. with the help of a friend and this forum I learned about some very valuable books and ordered them through Barnes&Noble. Delivery to Jeddah took about 4 weeks. The books were (now that you are ready know about them:)):
OG 11th Edition,
OG Math Review,
OG Verbal Review, Kaplan CD, Priceton Review and Kaplan Writing.
It took me 6 weeks (by studying 3-4 hours a day) to finish all these books, plus 9 paper tests, half of 1000 SC Questions and GMAT Prep Material. Last 10 days, I solved about 8 full tests, 4 CATs and 4 paper based.
I solved the offical diagnostic twice: first run 670 before study and second run 770 after study. The second official CAT score was 780, solved 3 days before the exam. The real test was very similar to the second official CAT.
Good luck for those who are getting ready for the test!!!
