Wanted desperately to reach the 700 barrier. Did so today. This is my 4rth try of GMAT. I just wanted to thanks you all for your support and the great help I received from the forum, as a token of my appreciation I would like to attach the SC1000 material (my version)- I had dumped it in an excel file and written a macro, which made it like an SC1000 tool – GMATCLUB seniors can take a look and suggest some improvements to it. I plan to take some 2-3 more hours to work on this and attach the next version, with the help notes attached. This was an immense help to me in improving the SC skills.
My GMAT history …
1. Casual GMAT taker – 650 (v27,q50) Mar 2004
2. While applying for the schools in 2005 I knew that 650 wasn’t enough. I was doing an extensive analysis then, and was overconfident on my abilities. So took GMAT again, with only two weeks to prepare, and bombed it – 640 (v 33, q48)
3. Initially I planned to take it again sometime in Jul 2006, and apply for the 2007 class, but due to work commitment, I could never start preparing for it before August. Took it in Sep 2006 and bombed again 640 (v27,q50).
4. Totally heartbroken and defeated. Started for it again only since late Oct and delivered today 700 (v34, q49)
Somehow I am not feeling very good about it. I felt the time pressure (not enough practice huh?) and had to guess at least the last 3 questions of both verbal and quant. Frankly, I am not happy about this score. I know, I could have reached about 720-730 today, and if it was so I would have been content about this whole affair.
I am not sure how these scores would show up in my profile. Does Pearson send out the last three scores or all the scores in the last 5 years?
Would the schools take an average or consider the latest?
Need to research if its too late to apply now … any tips?
