Hi Everyone, wanted to know whether the current GMAT Focus edition still takes Verbal and Quants into account only or not like previous GMAT versions for calculating total score?

Gmat Focus takes all 3 verbal , Quant and DI to calculate total score / percentile. Infact in Gmat Focus, DI too is an adaptive section.

Dear fellow members,
I am looking for a study partner/group preferably with below characteristics.

1. Target date GMAT - by Jul’24 end. Target R1 applications in few selected schools
2. Working professional only [I am 34, NIT+IIM pass out, 11+ years work-ex in Supply Chain domain]
3. Score Target > 715
4. 1 hour only weekly catch up [Zoom] to discuss progress & tricky areas
5. Any other topic - we can catch up, discuss & come to an agreement

In case this interests you, kindly dm me. I am planning to take 4 months e-GMAT subscription this week & get started.
Thanks

ill recommend you to stick with GMAT Ninja, but be extremely careful

in that you have to ensure that you follow the process exactly how the team says. If the team says to keep you practice untimed keep it untimed. if the team asks you to fight for purpose, that should be your aim. See how words like "some" would help you early on to see where the passage is going (what is the authors POV). see why is it important to note timelines on your passage para summaries etc. lastly, how imp is it to link the paras to each other.

ive tried egmat for verbal , it used to be good for sentence correction imo but nothing beats gmat ninja. youll also start seeing why unofficial material isnt all that great once you parse through all the passages. for quant i guess TTP is really good , make sure to follow the templates they give you for each question type , once you get structured in your answering it really helps you reduce your careless errors

its available for free over youtube, verbal is pretty comprehensive, they also provide one on one coaching , but ill recommend that you go through the free stuff once, i have a friend who scored 760 after 3 months prep on classic with gmat ninja free resources with a whopping 47 on verbal. given your credentials im sure even you’d be able to pull that . lastly ill request that you DM me your number so that we could interact and gain from each others experiences, ive started repreparing and could share some valuable insights on where i went wrong with verbal prep. i could also direct you to good quant resources. my motivation behind all this: ill be taking the gmat surely after you, so itll also help me reinforce confidence in the method im espousing. Thanks.

Guys, I need your inputs. I’m planning for a 2025 fall admission window so I’ll most likely give my GMAT in July last week this year. I’ve just started my prep and I am decent I suppose. Last 2 weeks of April would be busy for me but post that I’ll have all the time I want. Just wanted to know what prep material I should go for and should I choose GMAT Focus over classic

Classic test was retired 2 months ago. You cannot choose classic. Easy choice

A jewel necklace contains only emeralds, rubies, and diamonds. If the ratio of emeralds to diamonds is 2:7 and the ratio of diamonds to rubies is 3:2, then which of the following could not be the number of jewels on the necklace?
