LBS was actually my number 2 school behind GHB. Great city, program is closest to that of a US MBA program, and it has a really international bent to it as well. Plus it has done really well in the global rankings I have seen. If you're not determined to work in the US after graduating from your MBA program, LBS isn't a bad choice.

What school is GHB?

The real question is why does he have GHB on his mind...I cant think of any school and think he meant GSB.

GHB is a date rape drug...it was the chemical coating those Aqua Dot toys imported from China that was putting kids into comas. A guy I work with bought a bunch of those for his kids for christmas, that has led to some good jokes at work about it being an effective way to get some peace and quiet around your house.

LBS is a great program with the great bonus of being in London. The website does a subpar job of showing off the school, check out related sites and articles for a better feel. That being said they are horrible for dinging me  .

London is one of the MOST expensive cities I've been in. I've traveled extensively in the UK, by the way. I live in Chicago, IL.
Comparable costs of living (London) -
2.25 times Chicago, IL
Around 3 times Houston, TX
Around 2 times NYC !!!!!!

I live in London, and yes the cost of living is high. But LBS is really a great school. I am going to a presentation of the Full-time MBA in March and I've been in one for the EMBA. Something that I found good was the fact that I could send my CV to one of the marketing people in order to receive some feedback on my profile which I found very useful.

The full-time MBA ranges from 15-21 months so is more like an US MBA rather than the normal European style of 1 year.

Generally I do believe this is the best school in Europe but the costs of the MBA are also the highest ones in the old continent (british pound is really strong).

Depends on the rest of your profile. But Given this experience I think you fall more in the age range for MBA's. EMBAs are mostly for managers with 10 years experience

In reality only a minority of the students finish their MBA in 15 months because there is just too much to do; clubs, activities, electives, internships etc...

simple question I can't figure out - Does LBS accept transcripts by mail/post only? I see nowhere to upload anything or fill out forms for a transcript.
