It's not about the money for me. If I were interested in money only, I'd just get a job with a law firm and use my law degree and bill out 2500 hours in a year. My list:
1. Satisfaction/Enjoyment from the work I do. I want to pair my law degree and MBA together to help keep companies out of the court room. I think it a company is making decisions in a court room (i.e., in litigation) then that company is not running as efficiently as possible.
2. I think along the lines of marketing, financial risk/reward, systems, etc more than I do in a purely legal aspect. This just makes sense to bring these two things together.
3. Learn more about business. I enjoy business problems and trying to find solutions. I can learn more, in a shorter time period in b-school than I can at On the job training or by trial and error. It's academically economic.
