I used to be a subscriber to the blog and the guy knows his stuff and definitely funny, but I found it a bit too repetitive and eventually disrespectful (first it is funny disrespectful, but then it sinks in). I guess I am too sensitive

Yeah, it's got some funny content -- basically the consulting version of https://www.leveragedsellout.com. I contemplated writing up a contribution once (since I seem to have a reputation at my current and previous firms for being "innovative" with our travel policies :-D), but never got around to do it.

Sadly, I'm guilty of leaving my ipod on during takeoff/landing and not getting caught. I should probably stop doing that :P

Same here isa. I've even left my blackberry on a few times (usually not intentionally). Amazingly the multimillion dollar state of the art aircraft did not seem to suffer any adverse consequences from my $100 piece of consumer electronics.

We can only assume that GoBruins did not design the airplane you were flying in.

Quote:
"Sometimes [interference] appears, usually it does not," says Victoria Day, a spokesperson for the Air Transport Association, a trade group for U.S. airlines. "It may present pilots with an annoyance, or it may threaten safe operation of the airplane. During takeoff and landing when the airplane is closer to the ground, there is no room for error, and airlines take every precaution to ensure that no interference occurs."
