Re: The 7 phases of B-school application [#permalink]
thanks for the necro bump. this post is gold.

The only thing I can do to calm myself during app time is to remember how worried I was about the GMAT, and remember that turned out just fine. Gotta stop being a worrier... :boom :boom :boom

I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks since I'm in the stage 5/6 area right now. I actually signed up to post just to thank the author. This thread was really comforting and funny. I sent it to some of my friends that were wondering why I was acting so weird.

I have no idea where I stand with any schools this year and am currently researching schools with late round 1 dates/rolling admissions because I'm not confident I stack up well at Tuck, Johnson or Kellogg. We'll see what happens.

also this place has the best smilies I've ever seen

I am now officially terrified after reading this post. I appreciate the breakdown, and I can tell that so far its spot on for me! I just want this process to be over and I know I've still got 7 more months until R1 Dings/Accepts/WL start rolling in. This is going to eat at my soul! I hope this forum becomes the support group that i need, I can tell that my original group is starting to get a little bit fed up!

Pretty much the story of most Fall 09 Bschool applicants in this forum. You will get more support than you can imagine.

I have a feeling it might turn to that if things don't go to plan.

C'mon guys, the first application deadlines are still 4 months away. Let's save the pessimism for October.

To those applying to H/S/MIT/C have you guys started your essays yet? I was thinking of beginning this weekend, hope I'm not off to a late start (I would highly doubt I am...). Let me know, I think I start working a little better knowing I might be behind the eight ball a little bit.
