Boyfriends are the boys I made out with my mom's car in high school. At this point in my life, I feel a bit beyond that designation. However, I find "the guy that I have committed my life and finances to but to whom I am not married because we both have serious doubts about the institution itself and are too lazy to bother anyway" is just too wordy.

If anyone has any recommendations, I am happy to take them under consideration.

Sorry to hear that, futuredukemba. But keep at it - you're definitely going to be ahead of the curve for next year. And if this group can help, don't be afraid to post. God knows we're bored as all get out right now anyway.

Just fly to Vegas, hire Elvis and get it done. It will be easier that way.

I feel like partner is reserved for the gay community. Granted I have a buddy whose girlfriend qualifies in Mass as a "domestic partner" and gets health benefits and money from his company because they can not very well give to one orientation and not the other... But still, I feel like the gay community is entitled to the "partner" termnology at this point. My brother is my brother... not my hombre. Add to that I feel sorry for the guy that he does not get to make out with you in your mom's car... After all you did say you were hot. :)

It depends. The tax rate tables aren't completley in line. Every year I do our taxes both ways just for sh!its and giggles - each year, we're better of single. Many younger couples without children are better off being unmarried or even filing separately.

I have an addition to phase 3. I'm taking the GMAT in 2 days and I've pretty much gotten to the point where I don't particularly give a f**k what my score is anymore because I'm so sick of studying and stressing out. I'm to the point where I just want it to be OVER!

Ok, maybe it's just me... :?

Heh, just wait till you get to the part where your applications are in and you have nothing to do but sit and stress out every time your blackberry buzzes or that god awful period (esp Kellogg) where your phone might ring.

I think they should add in a PMS phase somewhere - I am getting cranky and develop the urge to eat chocolate and pudding at 3 am at night.
