I must say, this forum is the best guide post, a light house for fresh aspirants. It has been over 8 months now, sadly I started preparing with the OGs, and came across this forum only a couple of weeks ago and totally realized how I had wasted all of my time. Everything you need is right in front of your eyes and is served fresh and cool as a cucumber, every time. It is just fun to be around here and getting to know better stuff. I truly believe, what I have learned in the past few weeks was way more than the six months I had wasted on the OGs. All this while, I had absolutely no clue that GMAT was primarily a template based exam, that there were styles of SC and CR or PS and DS(as described in the Kaplan/
MGMAT books and often discussed on several question or problem threads) questions that once mastered, they can be cracked easily. I have learned from this forum that commitment and time value the most for the exam, that it is a test of focus, of speed, of the ability to distinguish exactly what is being asked in the questions and to pin-point towards the optimum solution, and of the ability to decide firmly on reasonable grounds. Personally, I am an engineering graduate from a reputed Institute of Technical Sciences that is ranked among the top ten in India and never in my life have I ever been so excited with any test, that were all just lame and crappy. Truly GMAT is enticing, which I believe is the only one to be perfectly called a true test, and with this forum around, the preparation gets way enthusiastic!!!!
With this forum around, I really believe I'll make it to the B-school I aspire for!!!
