Hi All,

I have some doubts about GMAT. Here they are -

a) In forums some people say that doing first 20 questions correctly is very important as it sets the score band, some people says that it is just a myth and it is equally important to perform well on all the questions.
What is the truth ?

b) A friend of mine told me that GMAT score depends upon the test center as exam server exists locally, GMAT score is affected on the basis of local candidates' performances. This means as the busiest cities like Delhi and Bangalore entertain more candidates, so there is high chance if GMAT score being affected by that
I know it sounds weird, but is there any chance that this might be true ?

c) I know I can change the date of my exam but is it also possible to change the venue of the exam also ?

Please help me out

It has some truth, but do not take it to heart. The early questions will have a higher impact as the scoring algorthim has nothing to base your overall score on, but crash and burn at the end, your score WILL falter.

What you have above is a myth. Treat all questions the same.

No, tests are loaded from question banks FROM GMAC, hence you must wait 31 days to re-take (for the question bank to reset and load). Scores are based on all test takers world wide.

That being said, you will see different ranges for different scores (i.e. I scored a 48/38 and a 710 and someone else may have scored a 48/39 and a 710). This is normal.

speculative analysis does set in... makes thing harder... does happen with everyone...!
especially after one or more bad days at prep... but in the end... try and forget things that are beyond your control... focus on what can be done or delivered... I tell this to self every day...!
