coming back to GMAT

I agree with bmillan01.

Mgmat quant books , mgmat sc and powerscore CR are must have books.

i know a lot of people recommend powerscore CR. i read the book, however, i still have many CR questions wrong even though i follow the advice/strategy in the book. so i wonder what's so great about this book??!! did i miss the secret ingredient in this book? please share your experience! thanks!

first of all you should get familiar with each type of question.
You must distinguish the question before answering.

If you follow each and every line ditto of powescore bible you will surely improve. Revise it 2-3 times if possible.

That's too bad that you're still having some trouble with CR. One positive thing to learn from this, though, is that you have identified a GMAT weakness. This is very important, as we can all work together to help you to improve this area.

First thing to do is re-read the CR book. Hopefully you will have time to do this. Another important step is keep an error log. Each CR question that you get wrong, make a note why there was an error and what type of CR it was.

Also, every CR question that you do, whether it's correct or not, read the explanation completely. Understand why one option is correct and the others are wrong. This will reinforce the concepts that you have already learned and put you into a "GMAT mindset." It will also help somewhat to always be in a active mentality, not a passive one. Simply doing a problem and checking to see whether it's correct is simply not enough.

I have already mentioned this, but it's worth repeating: become an active member on the verbal forums! Everyday do a couple of verbal questions. Answer the questions and defend your choice with an explanation of all the choices. Trust me, this helps very much. One of the signs that you know the material is when you can teach or explain it to another.

I would actually advise to find out what exactly is your weakness.
E.g. I know my weakness is data sufficiency and also probability makes me rethink.

I always find it helpful to revise the concepts before I start.

Regarding Ebooks, I looked at 4gmat books and they were OK but didn't find them that useful. But that's just my opinion.

you might be able to get ebooks from amazon. not sure though.
