first of all it does sound like a complaint and in a way you are sounding like you want to do GM to not get fired - i am pretty sure you know GMs can get fired too right? You can't control your future as a GM - most jobs are performance based and I suppose since you didnt get fired you did a good job performance wise.

You could say you want more responsibilities since you feel you are not given enough and making a bigger impact. that shows you are a go getter and want to advance.

Couch it in terms of being dissatisfied with your old role, but be specific as to HOW an MBA and the subsequent knowledge will address that dissatisfaction.
