E-salute to you for the approach steps, I am really getting worried if I can ever be so systematic, your approach is very inspiring.

When are you sitting for TOEFL? Mine is in April. What materials are you using? I haven't started studying for TOEFL yet. My materials will be arriving any day now. This thing is not gonna be as tough as GMAT, is it?

And excellent debrief. Please post a list of all the materials and links that you have used.

I'm writing TOEFL tomorrow :P

I just went through the Barron's iBT book :D

Not sure if it's enough though... I'll post about my TOEFL experience tomorrow ;)

The TOEFL will be a piece of cake when compared to the GMAT :) so dont worry!! A week of prep shud b enough for a 100-105 score.

I took my 4th Manhattan CAT and I generated the assessment report for that test. I was overjoyed to see that the %right for SC rose from 51% to 60%! My plan worked! :D
But, I realized that the %right for CR and RC had dropped :(
This is where the "adapt" part comes in ;)

I adapted the "flash card" approach discussed in the previous step to help me improve my %right in CR and RC.

Entwistle, this happens to me too. When i concentrate on a particualar area on verbal, say SC, I manage to hit70-80% accuracy on the test but when I stop reviewing this area and move on to another, say CR, then my SC accuracy goes low and CR increases  ..... is there something that you would suggest here? I'm making flashcards too, based on some concepts or some questions.

If I had more time, I would have continued this cycle till I can consistently get 90% of the questions right across all three areas. But what you must understand is that as you get better, the questions get tougher. So you have to make sure that the fall in %right is due to the increasing difficulty of questions.

Thanks for ur reply.
oh yes, I am aware of the harder questions/levels etc. But, I make mistakes on the silly ones :-D (just tend to forget strategy/concepts)!! I think I might have to start doing CR and SC together! Not sure what else can help me.

That's what happened during my first Manhattan CAT! I scored a 620 :P
I had messed up the easy ones! So I never really got to any of the 700 level questions!
