Hi all,

My test is in about 1.5 weeks. I score around 46 - 48 in quant. However, I am quite poor in combinations and probability. Could anyone please tell me what basic concepts and type of questions I should practice so that I do not get the 600-700 type of questions incorrect? Any guidance highly appreciated

I advise you not to waste too much of your valuable time on this now. It'd be better if you did 300 questions from the entire problem domain asked in GMAT rather than mulling over and burning yourself for P&C alone, but that is just a suggestion.

Thanks Fluke. I'll look at the links you've posted. And I will take your suggestion of not spending too much time on PnC. I'm working fulltime too so won't really have a lot of time.

I notice I get more PnC problems on the MGMAT CATs, than on GMAT Prep. Is this usually the case?

If I were to take a guess, I would say that in the actual test you will probably see a couple of questions on PnC - one 600 to 700 and the other above 700. Generally people don't get more than a couple of questions on PnC. GMAT stresses on Algebra, Number Properties and Arithmetic.

Thanks Karishma...Would you then be of the same viewpoint as Fluke? Does it make sense to spend time studying PnC in the last run? or is it better to spend time on algebra, number props and arith?

I would go with fluke. Considering that you have just 10 days to go, focus more on algebra, number properties and arithmetic. That said, I would certainly recommend quickly going through the basics of Perm Com (say, put in a couple of hours) so that you can do the 600-700 level question, if you do get it. It's not advisable to miss out on the easy questions.
