Hi,

From my own experience I can suggest a few things
1. When reading RC, focus on entire content.
2. Make a habit of summarizing each paragraph and then view it in the overall context.
3. Do not focus on unknown terms, rather focus on intent of writer.

For timings,
Try to get SC in 45sec-1 min. That way you can save time for RC's
