here is a list of books with links to Amazon. I'm not plugging Amazon, but its the easiest to read up on the books.
Paul Bodine: Perfect Phrases for Business School Acceptance.https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Phrases-B ... 479&sr=1-1The link says that the book is in pre-order phase. I'm not sure when it will be released, but if it's in time for my essays, I'll probably buy it.
Paul Bodine: Great Application Essays for Business Schoolhttps://www.amazon.com/Great-Application ... 596&sr=1-1I own this one and have not gotten all the way through it, but it seems to be a great book.
Richard Montauk: How to get into the Top MBA Programshttps://www.amazon.com/How-Get-Into-Top- ... 675&sr=1-3I also own this one and it has been good. It offers more of a general overview and insight into the minds of the adcoms. At least that's my impression of it so far.
65 Successful Harvard Business School Application Essays: With Analysis by the Staff of Harbus, the HBS School Newspaperhttps://www.amazon.com/Successful-Harvar ... 822&sr=1-1This book gets mixed reviews. Some read the essays and see how amazing these people are and say "No wonder they got into HBS! I wish I could see an essay of a normal person like me that got into HBS." I think we need to realize that we're only seeing one essay of this person, and that's not even all of the essays used for admission! Each of us have some stellar story to tell, we just have to find it and write it.
Your MBA Game Plan: Proven Strategies for Getting into the Top Business Schoolshttps://www.amazon.com/Your-MBA-Game-Pla ... pd_sim_b_3I don't have this one, but I thought you might want to check it out.
There are many other books about getting into an MBA. These I listed seem to be the most popular. If you go to any one of the amazon links I pasted above, you'll see near the bottom a list of suggested books about this same subject. You can look through some of those books and get a feel for them.
Hope this helps.
