Re: translation of math statement [#permalink]
Even if GMAC did give \(x^x = 5x\), wouldn't it be the following?

\(x^{x-1} = 5\) Not sure it can be reduced further or solved.

Guys, how is it correctly expressed in symbols?

x times x equals 5x

Is it \(x^x=5x\) ?

walker, you mentioned "times". if so, it should be

x * x = 5x
x^2 - 5x = 0
x = 0 or 5

i do not understand why you guys are doing x^x = 5x?
