Do not upload this letter with your application. Applicants tend to feel that by providing more than what the adcom asks for they are somehow showing greater interest/initiative. It does not. It simply shows that you don't follow directions. Your recommendations warrant the inclusion of this letter unnecessary. Also people leave employers all the time. The adcom isn't concerned with whether your old employer would hire you back.

Thanks Cheetarah1980. Makes sense.

Did you check if this was their standard template? Many organizations follow a standard template, in which case the line does not hold much value. ( anyways because many org. use a standard template, your line will not hold much value - <read perception> )
I personally do not recommend uploading it anywhere. Maybe, you can use an optional essay or sneak it somewhere in your essays (only if you think it is that big a thing).

The best way would be to ask your recommender from that firm to write that for you. That would not be looked as bragging and would convey your point as well.

hope this helps.

Thanks Jumsumtak. Appreciate your inputs. I am sure that it was not a standard format b/c the HR mentioned so particularly. As you said, asking my recommender from that company to mention something on these lines may be a better idea. Thank you.
