I would urge all those promoted to new positions with leadership and management responsibilty and those considering/pursuing an MBA program to remember to keep focusing on some of the basic skills/attitudes of making it in a job.
While the classroom focus is on management concepts & tools (and of course job search!), it is a good idea to keep reviewing and sharpening your basic everyday skills - by applying them within your teams/workgroups and with everyone you meet.
