How do you translate the following into an algebraic equation.

There are twice as many red cars as green cars?

Is it r = 2G? If so, please let me know.

Yes. It is correct.

You can use the following for common reference :

'N as many X as Y' it translates to : X = N * Y

'N more X than Y' it translates to : X = N + Y

'N less X than Y' it translates to : X = Y - N

Is there any typo in the last one? Can you please let me know the right wording for the last one ( X= Y - N)

applying real world scenarios to this kind of thing helps too...in this case picture 5 green cars in a parking lot - there will therefore be 10 red cars, which is 2x5 = 2G cars... if that makes sense.
