Center * Pearson VUE GMAT Test Center
Location Mumbai, India
I chose to take the test at Mumbai center because I have heard good things about the center, and how well organized everything is in the center. My exam time was at 10 AM and arrived there around 9:30 AM.
This test center is a great place to take the test. The staff is courteous, and the place is not very difficult to find. The exam center is very quiet. During the exam, I experienced no issues and everything went flawlessly. No outside noise, very peaceful place, nice restroom facilities to freshen up. Good locker facilities. There are about 15-16 exam computers with cubicles sort (if I remember correctly). You are also provided an option to use earplugs or overhead headphones (not very useful for noise cancellation but still helpful). If I take the exam, I would choose a center like this Pearson center. Highly recommend it. Make sure not to forget your passport and some good snacks :). All the best.

This is a comment valid for all the test centers. Please be aware that after the check in after your break the persons fro the test center must go to your computer to insert their own passwrd.
I had a bad exerience in Lisbon, where the test center where full, and the people from the testcenters did not insert their passwrod on my computer. What happen was i had to wait, as the employees where check in other people. this action just cost me 2 minutes of my exam.
Also, on the break at lunch time, they have few people supporting this exams and thus I tried to do my break when the only employee avaible went to the bathroom...
Moreveover, they dont carre about the noise and give instrutions to the candidates inside the test room.
You should avoid this center! At least, I hope they could improve after this comment.

The location of this place to the exam conditions everything is worthless just avoid this place.
I had to give my test here and it was so distracting and uncomfortable for me to give test here. The place is located in a market area where there is ample car noise and honking sounds coming from outside. To add to it I was sitting next to a window which had pigeons sitting outside and making noises and hustling next to the window.
There are four computers cramped in a small place...there is hardly any place to keep the pad comfortably which is quite disappointing. I don't even know how pearson vue can consider this as a testing centre. It should be removed.

The mumbai test centre is easy to find and close to the churchgate station. The staff is polite and that is always a good thing. The internal temperature was neither too cold nor too hot (for a change !) . The only thing you need to take care of is to double check the pens since a few of them are dried up and can stop abruptly midway through the test.
The scratch pads are a bit worn out but the staff makes up for it by not expecting you to erase anything. They simply provide you a new one each time you finish one. I would definitely recommend this testing centre .
You mean the new centre by Think Education Service LLP in New Marines Lines? I heard bad reviews about its staff there and the external noise during exams. Can you confirm ASAP?
As far as I am aware there is only one GMAT testing centre in churchgate...
There were a few external disturbances but nothing worth complaining about. The staff was polite imo although my test was delayed by half hour for reasons I am not aware of . Nothing major for you to worry about

The center is really cool and spacious. The attendants are good and courteous. I would highly recommend if you would like to have a pleasant experience with less people around and in an area without much traffic or noise. It is convenient to reach the place and easy to find on the google maps. The facilities are good, the systems are working well and even the headphones are in good condition. You will hardly hear any sound of people typing their essays while you give your test if you start before them. I would definitely retake a exam in the center for the overall experience I had and of course for the luck I had to get a 760 on GMAT.
Hello @nandan442
You are talking about the GATs centre I believe? Is the centre quiet, and also if you could tell how is the staff in the centre, did you face any disturbance or technical issues. I have heard bad reviews about the centre and your review contradicted my thoughts, could you please confirm? Thanks. :)
I am thinking of taking my gmat at the GATs centre, Range Hill Rd, pune, is that the same one that you are tallking about?? because i too haven't recieved any good review about that centre!

I appeared for GMAT at Ahmedabad, India test center thrice. The center is located in a shopping complex near Jodhpur Cross Roads.
The center is in one of the shops of the complex and is not that big or lush. Just basic facilities such as lockers, drinking water and lavatories are available. The capacity of the center is six persons at a time.
The lady, moderator at the center, is extremely polite and co-operative. While appearing for the test I was suffering from flu and I informed her of the situation, and she willingly offered me a seat which was away from Air conditioner. She will always greet you whenever you enter the center and will also wish you luck before the exam starts and after every break.
Still one would find some disturbances because the center is in shopping complex and prone to some noise.
Overall, it was a good experience appearing for GMAT at this center.

Pearson Professional Centers, Nelson Chambers 'E' Block, 115, Nelson Manickam Rd, Rajaram Mehta Nagar, Aminjikarai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600029
The place is located behind the Ampa Skywalk. Although it is located in the city limits, I find it somewhat difficult to reach as there was a huge traffic around the areas. If you are coming from outskirts of the city, you need to start 2 hours before provided if you are coming by your own transport. If you are using public transport coming from outskirts of the city, it will take huge time for you to reach.
I used google navigation to find the place as I was not much aware of this area. This is highly recommended as it will also update you about the current traffic situation.
Staffs were much helpful starting from verification process till the end of the exam. The facilities such as lockers and restrooms were not bad.
The place is silent and manageable. However only during AWA, it was noisy as there was too much typing and since the place is too small.

Hello GMAT Club members,
I took my 2nd attempt at GMAT on 8-Sep-2015 at Pearson Test center in New Delhi. I took my 1st attempt also at the same test center in May-2015. Following are the Pros and Cons that i would like to share, specific to the test center.
Pros:
1) The center is well connected with Delhi Metro, easy to find and is properly marked on Google Maps.
2) If you are traveling by car, parking can be an issue so please come a little earlier, or ask someone to drop you off and then pickup later.
3) Please note that the test center only allows you inside the premises 30 min prior your slot time. If you arrive earlier, if would be advisable to locate a nearby coffee shop or restaurant and sip a coffee and spend your time in an air-conditioned environment, particularly in summer time.
4) The staff at this center is very professional and helpful.
5) They provide earbuds and locker.
6) The lighting is good. AC is ambient and very comfortable, neither too cold nor warm.
7) Computer screen and Mouse are in good condition.
8) The staff responds promptly, whenever you raise your hands. This is very good considering the fact that there are 2 invigilators and 10-12 testing systems.
Cons:
1) There is only one toilet in the premises. This can be a spoiler if more than one individual take their break at the same time. I was lucky both the times that i was alone during my break.
2) During my 1st attempt, a nearby office in the same building was undergoing renovation. On two separate occasions, there was a loud noise of drill bit being used to punch holes. This was ridiculous and broke my concentration. Thankfully, the earbuds helped a little. I had expected this, when a candidate exited just before i was supposed to start by test, and demanded that he be given a suggestion form to lodge an official complaint.
In my 2nd attempt, the renovation in office next doors was already complete, so no external disturbance, phew !! So feel free to opt for this center.
Overall, the center is nice and i would recommend it if you are in New Delhi area.
Regards,
Ekansh.

I gave my GMAT in July, ’15 and this was second attempt at GMAT, both at the same centre. There a few points about the centre –
Pros:
1. The centre is handled by Pearsons itself and thus the quality of services is good. The staff is very polite and has good knowledge of the processes involved such as identification etc.
2. It is easily accessible via public transport. Sometimes there is traffic as the centre is located in busy community centre, so if the exam is in the afternoon slot, keeping some buffer time would be a good idea.
3. The noise level inside the centre is very low. Apart from occasional horns (that too not very loud) the place is free from external disturbances. There is no disturbance due to external noises. They also provide ear plugs.
4. The lobby is big enough to walk around and relax yourself during breaks. The washroom is clean and well maintained.
5. The environment inside the test room is nice to get your concentration right and your brain running with proper lighting and comfortable AC temperature.
6. Computer screen is large enough to focus, and the keyboard and mouse are new and comfortable to work with
Cons:
1. The centre has about 10 seats per slot. This can cause a little bit of a disturbance if you are among the first 1-2 to be seated because by the time the last test taker is seated you have already started the exam this cause some disturbance. Also during the breaks many test takers come out simultaneously. This by itself is not the problem, but when compared to only one restroom in the facility, it becomes a straight negative. I had to wait for my turn in the first break, and thus got a bit late and lost 2.5 minutes in my quant section.
2. Parking is very difficult to find. It’s a community centre and all the parking is taken up by commercial vehicles. If you can do take a cab, auto or metro. Though if you want to come by car, you can find parking at the metro station nearby (I think its Green Park metro station)
Overall my experience with the centre was between good, if not excellent (Got late due to waiting to go to restroom).

I've taken GMAT twice - once at the Dwarka Centre and once at the Yusuf Sarai Center New Delhi. Well, I must say they are exact opposite of each other.
In terms of staff, Pearson Center has really cooperative staff who actually listen to your whims and fantasies.
They have their own washroom unlike the Dwarka EduPro centre where I had to go from 4th to 2nd floor and into a ladies toilet that was actually a flooded common toilet... Yukkk..
Also, Pearson center's test room is sound proof and quite comfy. The PCs are bigger, charis are good and most importantly, the separators from fellow test takers is really good. At EduPro it was like a primitive cyber cafe with not more than a foot high separators... no use.
I was an outstation candidate so cant comment on parking space but the nearby area is good with great connectivity by metro trains.
I would really suggest that whether u have to postpond/prepond your appointment, dont book EduPro centre. Go for Pearson center.
Thanks for reading. All the best.
dude r u talking about Winsoft Computer Centre, phase 2 , Mohali?
Hi, are you talking about the Winsoft Computer Centre in Mohali?
Yeah I am talking abt the Winsoft centre in Mohali. I had a pretty bad experience just letting you know.
guys!! can you please share your experience at the test center, I have my test scheduled on 22July in Mohali.
please guys share your experience
Winsoft Computer might just be the worst GMAT testing centre. I had my test in the mid of September 2017 and my experience was highly disappointing. Below are the series of events that took place during the test -
1. While I was on the 5th question from the last of the first section (Quant), the computers in the lab hanged and so did the exam abruptly in the middle while I was taking my test. After restarting the server and the computers when the test administer logged me back into the test, it had already skipped about 3-4 minutes in the process, affecting all the remaining questions in the section. This was the first big calling that I may not be getting the desired score for which I have worked really hard in the last couple of months, and was never expecting this to happen in the first place.
2. After the break- before starting the section 2, which was Verbal, the system of the candidate sitting behind me started to have some issues due to which the administrator and other staff members assembled to resolve the issue, creating a lot of disturbances in the lab. This disturbance kept increasing with their constant discussions, speaking on phone regarding the issue and noises due to repeated entering/leaving the lab, and didn't stop for the whole 75 minutes of my Verbal section. This hugely impacted my attention towards the test. It was so disturbing that I had to go through the questions multiple times just trying to understand in the noise. I had to skip many questions as well due to the loss of time. This was the second calling that things weren’t going as desired, and out of all things there is a bare minimum expectation of how the test-taking environment be which should be standard across the globe.
To everybody taking the test from Chandigarh area, please AVOID this centre!
