1. Sufficient
M:F=3:2
Males=12; Females=8

2. Sufficient
M=F+4

M+F=20
2F=16
F=8. M=12

(1) The ratio of male to female members in the club are 3 : 2.
2/5 of 20 = 8 females .... suficient
(2) There are 4 more male members in the club than female members.
No. of males = females +4 ...... so, 2*females + 4 = 20 ... so females = 8..... sufficient

Male = m
Female = f
m+f = 20

Question : f = ?

Statement 1: m:f = 3:2
i.e. m = (3/2)m
i.e. m+f = (3/2)f+f=20
i.e. f = 8
SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: m-f = 4
and m+f = 20
i.e. m = 12 and f = 8
SUFFICIENT

Answer: Option D

Statement 1 - 3x + 2x = 20
5x = 20
x = 5
Number of females = 6
Sufficient

Statement 2 - x + x + 4 = 20
x =8
Sufficient
