I know this is extremely late. I definitely wasn't studying for the GMAT in 2006.
However, I thought that I would include this just in case someone else needs some grouped resources to understand these questions better.
When I first began challenging bold-face questions, my accuracy on these items were near 0%. I first started practicing questions from the critical reasoning question directory by topic (500 & 600) and noticed that this was an extreme pain point for me. I wanted to make sure that the 1 or 2 bold face questions I may see on the test wouldn't go unbeaten. In the end, all it took was watching some videos and doing the practice problems with the instructors. Now after going through these video methodically, I have been able to answer
every single Bold Face Question correctly since then (50+). Just took a bit of patience and rewiring for me.
Here are three videos (in order which I viewed them) that helped me shift my way of thinking:
1)
VeritasPrepHailey helped me find a methodical way to approach the questions and to see the interaction the bold faced lines have with the purpose of the argument.

GMATNinja helped me to really understand the way to think through each answer choice and to not forget to find the conclusion.

VeritasPrepBrian helped me to keep an eye out for the detail that exists. Essentially the potholes to be aware of.
