WILL the Deferrals impact the decision of the Adcom for the future applicants?
What do you guys think?

Attending the various sessions, I know that Adcom is just a liar with a smile on their faces to lie to us and grab our big bucks and if not then at least gain a good acceptance rate by eliminating those who they said, "We are holistic"

I am one of the ones who applied for, and got a deferral at Duke.
I can tell you that very few people at Fuqua have actually opted for a deferral. Even fewer will accept their deferral offer because of their personal goals and the issues around scholarships.

Will these deferrals impact the next cycle?
Yes! Most definitely.
But not in a huge way!
If you submit a strong application, you will get in no matter what! Most Fuqua admits are not very keen on deferrals.
Many already made peace with the fact that they might need to attend the whole first semester online (even with the flexible plan that Fuqua has), so the recent events haven't swayed a lot of people.
