Pleasantly surprised by the quick interview invite. I wonder if it had anything to do with GMAT/GPA scores?
Regardless, I'm excited to visit campus.
Tepper has always released invites this early, so I am not surprised.
All the best dear applicants.
A lot of you might still be writing essays and may be juggling interviews with further applications. But don't use that as an excuse to NOT prepare for interviews. Remember, and interview invite is half the road crossed. And b-schools put a lot of emphasis on Face-to-face (nowadays, Skype -to- Skype
) interaction. The worst thing you can do at this stage is to go unprepared for interviews. Here's a quick list that I will advise you to DEFINITELY prepare:
1. walk me through your resume
2. Career goals- short term, long term, plan B. hy these are your goals, and :
3. why particular b-school.
4. Practice a few teamwork, leadership and failure stories- both from work and outside.
5. How will you contribute to biz-school?
6. strengths and weaknesses
7. Hobbies/ interests
8. Any questions for the adcom.
There are a lot more questions to prepare, but these are absolute musts.
And don't prepare in your mind. Practice with people in your circle. Also, reach out if you need help. We'd be happy to provide our mock interviews with very senior admissions consultants who have been on the interview panels for their alma maters.
