I'm also wondering why they are so quiet. Don't know what to think...( Maybe should not count Booth anymore. However, noone knows for sure what their plans are)

I was wondering if anyone on this forum had applied for the MBA/AM in International Relations program and had received an invite to interview? I haven't heard anything yet...

Got an interview invite on Tuesday. Very surprised but thankful/excited.

For people staying in downtown Chicago: how are you getting to Hyde Park? Cab or Public Trans? How easy is the public transportation down there?

It's pretty easy. I came down from Evanston and pretty much winged it. I think I took the Metra from downtown to Hyde Park. It was a couple bucks. I ended up staying at the international house on campus for a few nights when I attended Booth Live.

Thanks Daniel! Good luck! My GPA is pretty low too (3.1) and I only have 2 yrs of WE so there is definitely hope!

I actually live in the area but only went to Hyde Park once for Booth Live (it's like a different world down there - my friend drove so I have no idea how to get there). But if anyone wants recommendations on things to do/restaurants to try out while you're in the city, let me know!

You can take the red line from downtown to Booth.

You can take the red line from downtown to Booth.


If you don't have to, absolutely do not take the red line, certainly not at night.

Take Metra to 59th St. Station: https://metrarail.com/metra/en/home/maps ... TH-UP.html or cab it or drive it.

I just had my on-campus interview with a new alum (class of '10). He was super relaxed and I think it went well. He told me he wasn't sure if interviews were that important in weighing the decision, but that he would put a good word in for me. Overall, I was really impressed on the visit and how organized they are.
